NEPAL - 25th Anniversary Tour
October 2012

Records of all kinds fell on this 25th anniversary tour:

Largest group ever, largest team ever, most goals scored, all matches won, oldest AND youngest scorers, most spectacular pitches, most beautiful suporters, longest walk to the showers to name but a few.

Congratulations and many thanks to Chris "Man of the Tour" Hough for organising us, Dorchi Sherpa for setting up the whole trip at the Nepal end, Ajay Pant for looking after us in Kathmandu and Druba Lamsal for looking after our every need 24 hours a day. Also to all the local sherpas, chefs, tent pitchers, footballers and all the friendly locals who made the tour so successful.

Nepali hats off to all the children who came on tour getting involved with all the local children and just getting on with it without complaint despite some long walks and, lets face it, unsanitary conditions but also to their parents who had to look after them as well as themselves. The wives and girlfriends were just lovely.

It really was not so much a question of winning or losing as the taking part was just unbelievable.
